Dr Andrew Cornish MB BS (London 1977), MRCGP, FPA Cert
Our Senior Partner and venerable elder statesman! Andrew trained at the Middlesex Hospital, London, and then after a year doing Casualty and Orthopaedics did his GP training in Bury St Edmunds. He joined the practice in 1982. His wife runs a ball gown and dress hire business from home called 'Poshfrocks' - highly recommended for those special occasions! He has had an active interest in local medical politics for many years, and is on the Suffolk Local Medical Committee (LMC). He is the lead doctor in the practice for diabetes, minor surgery and family planning, and does sessional work for the local Family Planning Clinic. Outside interests include cycling, gardening and golf (and if you ask him nicely he'll tell you what his golf handicap is...). He also jogs regularly - and at a decent pace too..!
